The tower known as the Giralda is one of the few surviving parts of the mosque of Seville, together with the orange tree patio. All except the top part of the tower are from the Arabic period. The Giralda on top is a windvane. Instead of steps, you climb this tower using a ramp! At the top you can stand just underneath the bells and get a great view of the rooftops of Seville and the surrounding countryside. |
